To Preserve An Ephemeral State: #yournature
My Environment section largely documents native wildlife, landscape and people within it. Many of the photos include sustainable land practice, or food growing.
My aim is to promote the worth and beauty of what can occur on our doorsteps, or a short journey away. Many of the photos are taken on wildlife reserves or on our Roundhouse Partnership land. Here we are gradually reinstating habitats, and I get to record it. If we get to embrace and value the beauty of our native ecology, maybe will will then embrace the broader worth of sustainable environmental practice. To create a sense of the exotic, to capture those ephemeral moments that most miss, or to encourage a greater connection with the worth of sustainable land management, with all the rewards it brings.
We desperately need a reconnect to our nature and environment, I believe this should begin 'at home' or 'locally' first.
If these albums sometimes seem 'bloated', that's because soon they will be available for license. For a more brief summary of my photography see Portfolio.
